Ingredients:
- 1 cup falooda sev (vermicelli noodles)
- 4 cups milk
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 tsp cardamom powder
- 1 tbsp rose syrup
- 1 tbsp basil seeds
- 1 scoop vanilla ice cream
- Chopped nuts (almonds, pistachios, cashews) for garnish
Instructions:
- Boil the falooda sev according to package instructions. Drain and rinse under cold water to stop the cooking process. Keep aside.
- In a saucepan, heat the milk on medium flame.
- Once the milk comes to a boil, reduce the heat and add the sugar and cardamom powder. Stir well until the sugar dissolves.
- Turn off the heat and let the milk cool down to room temperature.
- In a separate bowl, soak the basil seeds in 1/4 cup of water for 10 minutes.
- Once the basil seeds are soaked, they will have a jelly-like texture. Drain the excess water and set it aside.
- Take two tall glasses and add a spoonful of soaked basil seeds to the bottom of each glass.
- Add a tablespoon of rose syrup to each glass.
- Add a handful of boiled falooda sev to each glass.
- Slowly pour the cooled milk into each glass, filling it about three-fourths of the way.
- Add a scoop of vanilla ice cream to each glass.
- Garnish with chopped nuts.
Serve chilled and enjoy!
