Smirnoff Introduces Desi Twist with Minty Jamun, Mirchi Mango and Zesty Lime Vodka Flavours

Smirnoff, one of the world’s most popular vodka brands, has launched three new vodka flavours specially crafted for India — Minty Jamun, Mirchi Mango and Zesty Lime. With these exciting flavours, the brand aims to tap into the changing tastes of Indian alcohol drinkers who now want something fresh, local and unique.

The new desi-inspired range brings a fun twist to the classic vodka experience. The Minty Jamun flavour is inspired by the juicy jamun fruit (also known as black plum or java plum) that brings back nostalgic memories of Indian summers, now with a cool, refreshing hint of mint.

Mirchi Mango, on the other hand, mixes sweet mango with a spicy kick, giving drinkers a blend of tropical sweetness and a mild heat that mirrors the Indian love for spicy-sweet combinations.

For those who like something crisp and light, the Zesty Lime flavour is designed to be an easy, citrusy vodka that works perfectly in simple cocktails for parties and get-togethers.

Diageo India’s Chief Marketing Officer, Ruchira Jaitly, shared that today’s young Indians want global brands to feel more local and relevant. “They want premium products that are playful and connected to Indian culture. With these new Smirnoff flavours, we’re giving them exactly that — moments of fun, flavour and discovery,” she said.

The fresh launch comes at a time when Indian alcohol lovers are trying out more premium drinks and are open to new types of spirits, whether it’s craft gin, single malt or flavoured vodka. Home mixology and DIY cocktails have also become popular, especially in cities.

Smirnoff’s new range is now available in Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Maharashtra. The company plans to expand to other states soon.

These flavours can be enjoyed in many creative ways. Try a spicy Mirchi Mango margarita, a nostalgic Minty Jamun spritz, or a big pitcher of Zesty Lime soda for your next house party.

With these new India-specific infusions, Smirnoff joins other global and local liquor brands that are bringing new tastes to Indian shelves, giving drinkers more ways to enjoy their favourite spirits in a fun, flavourful way.
