Taste Atlas, an online guide for experiential travel, has recently unveiled its list of the "Top 150 Most Legendary Restaurants in the World." These restaurants are considered destinations in their own right, comparable to famous museums and monuments. Figlmüller in Vienna, Austria, known for its century-old specialty dish, the Schnitzel Wiener Art, has been named the most legendary restaurant in the world. Katz's Delicatessen in New York City and Warung Mak Beng in Sanur, Indonesia, follow closely in second and third place.

Indian cuisine enthusiasts will be delighted to know that seven Indian restaurants have made it to this prestigious list. Paragon restaurant in Kozhikode has secured the 11th spot and is celebrated for its mastery of traditional Malabar cuisine, with biryani being its most iconic dish. Established in 1939, Paragon is renowned for its enduring charm, locally sourced ingredients, and traditional cooking methods that truly showcase the essence of the region.

Tunday Kababi in Lucknow takes the 12th spot and is renowned for its Mughlai cuisine. The galouti kebab, made with finely minced meat tenderized with raw papaya and an array of spices, is a culinary masterpiece that has earned Tunday Kababi a devoted following both domestically and internationally.

Other Indian restaurants on the list include Peter Cat in Kolkata at 17th place, Amrik Sukhdev Dhaba in Murthal at 23rd place, Mavali Tiffin Rooms in Bangalore at 39th place, Karim's in Delhi at 87th place, and Ram Ashraya in Mumbai at 112th place.

The list includes a diverse range of restaurants, from small family-run establishments to esteemed Michelin-starred venues, all with a commitment to culinary authenticity.
