Swiggy, a leading food delivery platform in India, has launched a new feature called "Pockethero" that aims to make online food ordering more accessible and affordable for budget-conscious customers.
Catering to Cost-Conscious Users:
Recognizing that online food delivery can be perceived as expensive, especially for students and individuals with limited budgets, Swiggy's Pockethero offers significant discounts and free delivery to bridge this gap.
Up to 60% Off and Free Delivery:
Currently available in Delhi-NCR, Jaipur, Lucknow, and Chandigarh, users in these cities can enjoy discounts of up to 60% on orders from select restaurants within a 3-kilometer radius, along with free delivery. Swiggy plans to expand Pockethero to major cities like Bengaluru, Mumbai, Pune, Chennai, Hyderabad, and Kolkata soon.
Inclusive Food Delivery:
"Pockethero aims to make food delivery accessible to a set of users who today may find online food delivery less value for money," says Sidharth Bhakoo, VP, National Business Head at Swiggy. "We want to give them a taste of convenience without having to worry about their pockets."
Pockethero is easily accessible within the Swiggy app, appearing alongside the Offer zone in the Food category. This user-friendly design makes it simple for budget-conscious users to find discounted meals and enjoy the convenience of online food delivery.
Impact on Users and Restaurants:
Pockethero is expected to attract new users to Swiggy's platform, particularly students and individuals with limited disposable income. Additionally, participating restaurants can benefit from increased visibility and access to a new customer segment.
Swiggy's Pockethero launch showcases its commitment to catering to a wider range of users and making online food delivery more inclusive and accessible for everyone.
