Swiggy Launches New App SNACC for 15-Minute Food Delivery Amid Fierce Market Competition
Swiggy introduces SNACC, a standalone app for 15-minute food delivery, targeting quick bites, beverages, and meals. The launch intensifies competition in India’s fast-growing food delivery market.
Swiggy, the popular food and grocery delivery platform, has launched a new standalone app, SNACC, designed to deliver quick bites, beverages, and meals within 15 minutes. The app, which debuted on January 7 in select areas of Bengaluru, is set to expand to other cities in the coming months.
Previously, Swiggy housed all its services—food delivery, quick commerce, hyperlocal delivery, and dining out—under a single app. However, with the launch of SNACC, the company joins the trend of creating specialized platforms to cater to diverse customer needs and target a broader audience.
A Response to Growing Competition
Swiggy’s move comes amid increasing competition in India’s food delivery sector. Rival platforms like Zomato-owned Blinkit, Zepto Cafe, and Swish are ramping up their offerings, including rapid food delivery services. The trend reflects an evolving consumer preference for faster and more convenient options.
SNACC features a vibrant design with a fluorescent green background and dark blue text. Its landing page organizes offerings into categories such as Indian Breakfast, Coffee, Bakes, Cold Beverages, and Protein. While some products are tied to brands like Blue Tokai and The Whole Truth, others are sourced from third-party providers.
Rapid Conceptualization and Execution
According to sources, the SNACC app was conceptualized in mid-December and launched in less than a month. Unlike Swiggy’s existing rapid food delivery service, Bolt, which relies on partner eateries to fulfill orders within strict timelines, SNACC operates from a centralized location stocked with a variety of products.
As the service expands, Swiggy may refine the model to include additional capabilities.

The Rise of 15-Minute Food Delivery
Swiggy’s latest venture highlights the growing demand for ultra-fast delivery. The company previously introduced Bolt, a 10-minute delivery service, which now contributes to 5% of its total food delivery orders. Swiggy’s success with Bolt has likely inspired the launch of SNACC.
The rapid adoption of 15-minute food delivery mirrors the trajectory of quick commerce (q-commerce) services, which transitioned from skepticism to widespread acceptance within months.
As Swiggy scales SNACC and other players continue to innovate, the food delivery landscape in India is poised for a transformative phase.
