Fashion designer Masaba Gupta recently shared a delightful recipe for a healthy and gluten-free granola dessert. This scrumptious treat is not only vegan but also packed with nutritious ingredients. Registered dietitian Garima Goyal highlighted the dessert as a guilt-free way to indulge your sweet tooth.
To create this mouthwatering dessert, you'll need fresh mango, overnight almond milk, a pinch of cinnamon, soaked sabja seeds, sunflower seeds, homemade sugar-free almond butter, and granola. The star ingredient is the homemade sugar-free almond butter granola, made from a blend of oats, ground flaxseeds, sliced almonds, and creamy almond butter. After mixing the ingredients in a bowl, spread the mixture on a sheet pan lined with parchment paper and bake it at 325 degrees for 18-22 minutes, flipping it once in between.
To assemble the dessert, take a serving of the homemade granola and top it with luscious fresh mango slices, crunchy sunflower seeds, a drizzle of overnight almond milk, a sprinkle of cinnamon powder, and the gelatinous soaked sabja seeds. The sabja seeds, derived from holy tulsi or basil seeds, become gelatinous when soaked overnight in almond milk. For those seeking extra sweetness, you can optionally add maple syrup to enhance the flavor.
