Chennai now has a new social networking platform called Foodwall, designed specifically for food lovers. Foodwall allows people to connect and discuss anything related to food. It's a place where users can engage in conversations about all things food-related. Whether you want to share recipes, discover new restaurants, or get food recommendations, Foodwall is the platform to do it. It's a fun and interactive space for all food enthusiasts in Chennai.

This platform will help users connect with others and discuss everything related to food. The founder and CEO of Foodwall, Saravan Krishna M., mentioned that one common issue we all face is deciding where to go out to eat and trying new places is always a bit worrisome. We often wonder if the place is good or not. Currently, there are no organized platforms for getting food recommendations. That's where Foodwall comes in—it aims to solve this problem and provide a reliable platform for food recommendations.

The idea for Foodwall, a social networking platform for food, was conceived in 2018 when Saravan met his friend Amogh Arunkumar, who later became the co-founder and Chief Customer Officer. They both attended Chettinad Vidyashram school and understood each other's strengths. Amogh, with his experience as a former restaurateur, focuses on ensuring a great user experience.

Since its launch on June 12, Foodwall has already gained over 900 users on its iOS and Android platforms. The founders aim to reach more than 100,000 users within the next 100 days. While currently focused on the Chennai market, the startup plans to expand to other major cities in India. By the end of this year, they also have plans to enter the United States market. When asked why the U.S., Mr. Krishna explained that the U.S. is a hub for social networks, and they want to begin their global expansion there. Additionally, the startup is exploring opportunities in other global markets as well.

When asked about the need for a platform like Foodwall when there are already many food-related suggestions and reviews available on the internet, Mr. Krishna explained that most existing platforms are focused on promoting restaurants. He emphasized that their priority at Foodwall is the user. Unlike other platforms, they consider the user as their primary customer. Mr. Krishna compared Foodwall to LinkedIn, which is a platform for professionals, by stating that Foodwall is specifically designed for food lovers.
