Swiggy, the popular food delivery platform preparing for its IPO, has introduced a new service called the Swiggy XL EV fleet, designed to handle large food orders using electric vehicles (EVs). This service aims to make bulk deliveries easier, just in time for the festive season when parties, gatherings, and celebrations are in full swing.
After a few weeks of pilot testing, Swiggy officially launched the XL fleet in Gurugram. The launch happened on the same day as the Haryana State Assembly elections. In a unique partnership with the district administration, Swiggy delivered 3,500 meals free of charge to electoral officials stationed at over 580 polling booths in the Gurugram and Badshahpur constituencies.
