FMCG Distributors Unite to Challenge Quick Commerce and E-commerce Platforms
FMCG distributors and retailers unite for a nationwide campaign to tackle the impact of quick commerce and e-commerce platforms.
Fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) distributors and retailers across India are coming together to address the growing impact of quick commerce (qcom) and e-commerce platforms. From January 20 to March 31, they will organize a nationwide campaign to strengthen their position against practices like deep discounting and predatory pricing by online platforms.
The All India Consumer Products Distributors Federation (AICPDF), representing over 400,000 distributors and 350,000 sub-distributors, is leading this initiative. The campaign will cover over 500 districts and 700 talukas, with meetings planned to unite distributors and retailers in finding effective solutions to counter the growing dominance of online retail.
AICPDF aims to raise awareness about the challenges posed by quick commerce and e-commerce, which many believe are disrupting traditional retail markets with unfair practices. By organizing discussions and building a collective strategy, the federation hopes to protect the interests of local distributors and retailers while ensuring a level playing field in the FMCG market.
