Swiggy launches New Innovative Food Discovery Feature
Swiggy introduces an exciting new feature, WhatToEat, that will make food discovery easy and helps users explore their favorite cuisine based on mood and cravings
Swiggy, a leading food delivery platform, has introduced a new feature called WhatToEat, aiming to enhance food discovery for users based on their mood and cravings. This feature comes at a time when the food delivery market has experienced a slowdown, prompting Swiggy and Zomato, the major players in the industry, to seek incremental market share gains.
WhatToEat can be accessed through Swiggy's food ordering page, where users can select a specific food category. The app then presents a curated list of ten restaurant options that specialize in serving dishes from the chosen category. Notably, all the listed eateries are included organically without any payment from the restaurants themselves.
The primary objective of introducing WhatToEat is to streamline the food discovery process for users, eliminating the need for time-consuming scrolling through numerous restaurant options, checking multiple menus, and managing multiple carts. By simplifying the decision-making process, Swiggy aims to transform how users explore and select their meals.
Rohit Kapoor, CEO of Food Marketplace at Swiggy, expressed the company's vision for the new feature in a LinkedIn post, stating their goal to revolutionize the way users discover and choose their meals.
With the launch of WhatToEat, Swiggy continues to innovate and enhance the overall food delivery experience, catering to the evolving preferences and convenience of its users.
