Tim Hortons, the well-known Canadian coffee and fast-food company, has launched online delivery in Mumbai through Swiggy, with plans to expand to other cities in India. With a focus on engaging Indian customers through digital platforms and local-inspired menus, Tim Hortons aims to have a significant presence across the country
The well-known fast-food and coffee business Tim Hortons just began offering online delivery in Mumbai on Swiggy, and it plans to do so going forward on July 15. Customers in Mumbai can now easily get their preferred Tim Hortons snacks and drinks from the comfort of their homes through Swiggy.
Tim Hortons, a well-known Canadian coffee company founded in 1964, entered the Indian market in August 2022, beginning in Delhi and concentrating on the country’s north. Due to its Canadian heritage and Indian consumers’ preference for foreign cuisine, the brand is becoming more and more well-known throughout the nation.
Prior to its opening, Tim Hortons concentrated on raising awareness via digital platforms, particularly social media, in order to target particular demographics and create a lifestyle brand identity. With ambitious intentions to further grow to Pune and Bengaluru, Tim Hortons has now opened nine outlets in the National Capital Region (NCR), two in Mumbai, and six in Punjab.
Tim Hortons, which has 5,600 restaurants globally, has already opened 17 locations in five Indian cities.
Through numerous avenues, such as digital marketing, social media, and word-of-mouth, the coffee brand has been working to engage with Indian customers. In order to cater to the demands of the Indian market, they are also modifying their goods and marketing plans. For instance, they just debuted a new local-inspired menu in Mumbai with dishes like Pinwheel Samosa and Baida Cigar Rolls.
“The goal is to enter a specific region and see all of its significant cities. The idea is to go into other cities in a certain geography as well and not limit yourself to Mumbai or Delhi, according to Tarun Jain, CEO of the Tim Hortons franchise in India. If you think of North India as one region, then between Delhi, Noida, Gurugram, and then going into Ludhiana and Patiala, the point is that you go into other cities in a certain geography as well.
With ambitions to open 120 stores by 2026, the franchise wants to have a significant presence across India’s various geographies, according to Hindu Business Line.
