Tata Starbucks Brews Success in India, Surpassing Rs 1,000 Crore in Sales and Expanding Nationwide

Coffee chain giant Tata Starbucks, a joint venture of Tata Group and Starbucks Corporation, has reached a milestone this fiscal year, surpassing sales of Rs 1,000 crore. The performance is a huge success for the brand, which has been in India since 2012.
FY23 net sales totaled Rs 1,087, up 71% from FY22. According to the company's financial statements, the business made a good profit before interest and taxes (EBIT) for the year.
According to the coffee giant, its revenue increased 48% in the January-March period, pushing FY23 growth to 7% despite the pandemic.
Tata Starbucks' highest annual store growth came in FY23, opening 71 new locations and expanding to 15 new cities. Accordingly, there are currently 333 stores in 41 provinces.
Starbucks introduced "masala chai" (spicy tea) and filter coffee in India in a pilot project last year and adjusted its menu to include cheaper and Indian options to attract customers. Street style sandwiches, shakes, and Small size beverage cups.
The company said it has testing at four locations by 2022. This includes relaunching the classic drink, introducing a new 6-ounce "picco" in hot water, fixing the food, and revamping store interiors.
