Former first lady of the United States, Michelle Obama, has launched a new food and beverage brand called PLEZi Nutrition, which aims to provide low-sugar, nutrient-dense options for children. As the co-founder and strategic advisor for the company, Obama believes that PLEZi Nutrition serves as an extension of her 'Let's Move!' campaign, which aimed to combat childhood obesity during her time in the White House.
According to reports, PLEZi's first product is a drink called PLEZi, aimed at children between the ages of six and 12. The drink contains 75% less sugar than many other beverages on the market and is packed with essential nutrients such as fiber, magnesium, zinc, and potassium. The product will be available in several flavors, including blueberry, orange, and apple, and a four-pack of eight-ounce drinks will cost under four dollars.
Speaking about her initiative on the company's website, Obama notes that she has learned the importance of changing the food and beverage industry from within to combat health issues. She states that parents and pediatricians have expressed concerns about sugary drinks, which is why PLEZi is starting with a beverage product. Take a Look:

Obama also emphasizes that the best options for children, especially those aged between one and five, are water and milk, along with fruits and vegetables. By launching PLEZi Nutrition, Obama hopes to provide healthy options that children will enjoy, making it easier for parents to instill healthy eating habits from an early age.
