Two Telangana Men Killed, One Injured in Knife Attack at Dubai Bakery by Pakistani National
Two Indian workers from Telangana were killed and another injured in a violent knife attack at a bakery in Dubai, allegedly carried out by a Pakistani national. Indian authorities are working to repatriate the bodies and support the grieving families.

In a shocking incident, two Indian men from Telangana lost their lives and a third sustained serious injuries following a brutal attack at a bakery in Dubai. The assault, which took place on April 11 during working hours at Modern Bakery LLC, was allegedly carried out by a Pakistani national.
The victims were identified as Ashtapu Premsagar (35) from Soan village in Nirmal district and Srinivas from Nizamabad district, Union Minister G Kishan Reddy confirmed. Another Indian national, Sagar, was injured in the incident and is currently receiving medical treatment at a Dubai hospital.
According to family members of the deceased, the attacker reportedly shouted religious slogans during the attack. The families are devastated, and many have appealed to the Indian government for urgent assistance in bringing the mortal remains back to India.
Premsagar had been working at the bakery for over five years and last visited his family two years ago. His uncle, A. Poshetty, said the family is struggling to cope with the tragedy and has yet to inform Premsagar’s wife and two children about the incident. Poshetty urged the government to provide financial support to the bereaved family, citing their dire economic situation.
Union Minister G Kishan Reddy expressed deep sorrow over the killings and confirmed that he has spoken with External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar to expedite the repatriation process.
“Deeply shocked by the brutal killing of two Telugu youth from Telangana in Dubai — Ashtapu Premsagar and Srinivas. Spoke to Hon'ble External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar ji, who has assured full support to the bereaved families and urgent repatriation of the mortal remains,” Reddy said in a post on X
Minister of State for Home Affairs, Bandi Sanjay Kumar, also condemned the killings and assured the families of continued government assistance. He mentioned that the Indian consulate in Dubai is in contact with local authorities to fast-track the investigation.
“We are extending all necessary support for the early repatriation of the victims and stand firmly with their families in this hour of grief,” he stated on social media.
The Indian government, through the Ministry of External Affairs and the Indian Consulate in Dubai, is coordinating with Dubai Police to ensure a thorough and swift investigation into the violent act. Officials have emphasized that justice for the victims and support for their families remain the top priority.
As the Indian diaspora in the UAE mourns the loss, the community has rallied in solidarity, seeking justice and expressing concern over the safety of migrant workers.
