Desserts that are frozen are a popular delicacy, especially in the sweltering summertime. Whether it’s ice cream, gelato, sorbet, or frozen yoghurt, these sweets’ cool and energizing qualities offer a welcome break from the heat. Therefore, nothing quite like the sweet embrace of a frozen treat can sate our summertime appetites when the weather rises. The rankings of the top frozen desserts in the world have been published by Taste Atlas, an experiential travel website, so there is no longer any need for concern. “Taste Atlas food rankings are based on the ratings of the Taste Atlas audience, with a series of mechanisms that recognize real users and that ignore bot, nationalist, or local patriotic ratings, and give additional value to the ratings of users that the system recognizes as knowledgeable,” it noted, adding that the goal of such food rankings is to promote excellent local foods, inspire pride in traditional dishes, and pique curiosity about foods you haven’t tried.

On the list of the top 50 frozen desserts in the world, two well-known Indian desserts—kulfi and kulfi falooda—made the cut. They were in positions 14 and 30, respectively. Check the full list

When discussing kulfi, Taste Atlas pointed out that it is a traditional Indian ice cream made with whole milk that has been boiled slowly. The milk loses volume as a result of the prolonged boiling procedure, giving the beverage a wonderful, nutty, and caramelized flavour. The conical shape of kulfi, a type of ice cream, is the consequence of using traditional, unique moulds with tight-fitting lids.

It continued, stating that kulfi is thought to have been created by the earliest inhabitants of the Himalayas during the Mughal Empire era. “Kulfi is typically flavour with traditional Indian ingredients such as pistachio, rose water, and saffron, although some cooks prefer to flavour it with fruits such as berries,” it said.

When making kulfi falooda, falooda noodles and kulfi are combined to create this cool delight. “Various additions, such as sweet basil seeds, jelly, or rose water, are frequently used to elevate the entire dessert, and crushed nuts are frequently used as a garnish.”
