PM Modi Enjoys Golgappas And More With Japanese PM Kishida

On March 20, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Japanese counterpart Fumio Kishida spent their day exploring cultural ties and bilateral relations while enjoying some Indian delicacies at the Buddha Jayanti Park in Delhi. The leaders took a walk around the park, discussed various matters, and savored multiple Indian drinks and foods while enjoying the pleasant weather. PM Modi later shared pictures and videos of their food-filled day on Twitter on Monday evening. Take a look

During their visit to the Buddha Jayanti Park in Delhi, the two Prime Ministers were spotted relishing several Indian delicacies, including the popular street-style snack called golgappa. Golgappa, also known as pani puri, is a beloved snack across India and is made by filling deep-fried puris with spicy water, chutney, and potatoes. PM Modi and PM Kishida appeared to be thoroughly enjoying the golgappas, as seen in the pictures and videos shared by PM Modi on Twitter.

During their visit to the Buddha Jayanti Park in Delhi, PM Modi and PM Kishida enjoyed a variety of delicious Indian foods and drinks, including fried idlis with spicy tempering, refreshing aam panna made from raw mango pulp, and homemade lassi. The two leaders also walked around the park and sipped tea from earthen cups, as seen in a video shared by PM Modi on Twitter. PM Modi emphasized the connection between India and Japan through the teachings of Lord Buddha, and gifted PM Kishida a sapling of the Bal Bodhi tree.
