Overeating can be a challenge, but these 7 practical tips will help you curb your appetite, make smarter food choices, and develop healthier habits.

7 Ways to Stop Overeating

1. Start taking 1.5 meals instead of 2.

Normally many people avoid breakfast and follow lunch and breakfast. That would be called a two-meal routine. To stop Overeating, use this technique, which is preferred by many people. In this technique, one-time proper meal is suggested, but the other time lighter options are usually suggested. For example, meals like oats, Indian light khichdi, fruits, sprouts, salad, boiled corn, soup, cornflakes, milk, boiled vegetables, etc are suggested. These are called 0.5 meals. This 1.5 meal technique is better than others as you didn't need to skip a meal, but make it in a good way.

2. Drinking water

Many-a-times it happens that we misunderstood our thirst as hunger. And this becomes a major reason for overeating. The 2 reasons for this are not realising the body's requirements or cannot resist the temptation of food. And drinking water can fill human hunger up to 27%. This is even scientifically proven. So many people also preferred hydrated drinks, lime water, and hot-boiled water. This is an even better way to stop Overeating.

3. Planned diet

Another factor that causes overeating is an unplanned diet. It doesn't work with an unplanned diet. It harms the body and stops metabolism growth. So the diet should always be planned. Cheat days are allowed but in a good way. If one meal is taken heavily, another one should be skipped or should be light. So planning also works in this situation. One of the popular idioms also suggests this - 'Precautions are better than cure'.

4. Say no to temptations

Temptations are always diet-interrupting. A planned diet always ruins off due to temptations. So this is also one of the important factors causing overeating. So, temptations should be avoided or should be fulfilled in a good manner. Temptations should be fulfilled with small amounts of consumption, it should not cause overeating. So, mostly say no to temptations!!

5. Consumption of Proteins and fibers

Overeating may be caused due to lack of required minerals in our body. We consume food without knowing the actual minerals required by our bodies. There are many food options with tastier options and rich fiber and protein. Fruits, green vegetables, kidney beans, sprouts, corn, etc are examples of this. So these things should be kept in mind while eating to prevent overeating.

6. Goodbye to junk food

Junk food is the main distraction causing overeating. A person gets more tempted seeing those street junk food or got tempted by the smell. If the temptation of junk food rises, start eating homemade food instead of outside. The thing can be also made at home using self-required ingredients. So junk food really deserves a goodbye!!

7. ED Formula (Exercise/Drink)

ED formula is the most common formula used by mostly many people. It is also preferred by many trainers, dieticians, and doctors. Daily exercise and healthy drinks can control overeating. Healthy fruits and vegetable drinks can control our temptations. And daily exercise can get your fat away from you.
