Sweets are wonderful, and they make us happy. Indian desserts are famous worldwide for their special flavors. Taste Atlas recently ranked the best dessert places globally. They mentioned that these special places not only serve delicious treats but also have a lot of history. These places make famous cakes, pastries, and sweets with a lot of love and precision.
The top spot goes to Pastéis de Belém in Lisbon, Portugal, for their famous pastry called Pastel de Belém. They've been making this special treat since 1837 using a secret recipe that combines creamy custard with flaky pastry.
In second place is Hafiz Mustafa in Istanbul for their delicious Baklava. At Hafiz Mustafa, Baklava is like a tasty harmony of thin, crispy layers of pastry soaked in sweet syrup and filled with finely chopped nuts.
Next on the list is Cafe Central, a historic coffeehouse in Vienna known for its beautiful architecture and rich history. They serve a delightful dessert called Apfelstrudel, which is made of thin layers of flaky pastry wrapped around spiced apple filling, and it's usually served warm with powdered sugar or whipped cream.
Six places in India also made it to the list. Kayani Bakery in Pune, KC Das in Kolkata, Flurys in Kolkata, Karachi Bakery in Hyderabad, B&R Mullick in Kolkata, and K Rustom & Co in Mumbai earned the 18th, 25th, 26th, 29th, 37th, and 49th positions, respectively.
