Mix Pakoras - a crispy and savory fritter that brings together a delightful blend of gram flour, spices, and chopped vegetables. It is a popular Indian snack, and perfect for satisfying your taste buds and impressing your guests with its irresistible aroma and flavor.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup gram flour (besan)

  • 1/2 cup rice flour

  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds

  • 1/2 tsp coriander seeds

  • 1/2 tsp fennel seeds

  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder

  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder

  • 1/2 tsp garam masala

  • 1/2 tsp salt (or to taste)

  • 1/4 cup chopped coriander leaves

  • 1/4 cup chopped onion

  • 1/4 cup chopped spinach leaves

  • 1/4 cup chopped potato

  • 1/4 cup chopped cauliflower

  • Water (as needed)

  • Oil (for frying)

Instructions:

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the gram flour, rice flour, cumin seeds, coriander seeds, fennel seeds, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, and salt. Mix well.

  • Add the chopped coriander leaves, onion, spinach leaves, potato, and cauliflower to the bowl. Mix everything together.

  • Gradually add water to the mixture until you have a thick batter.

  • Heat oil in a deep frying pan or kadhai on medium-high heat.

  • Using a spoon or your hands, drop small portions of the batter into the hot oil. Fry the pakoras until they turn golden brown.

  • Remove the pakoras with a slotted spoon and place them on paper towels to remove excess oil.

  • Serve the pakoras hot with chutney or ketchup.
