Ingredients:
1 cup gram flour (besan)
1/2 cup rice flour
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
1/2 tsp coriander seeds
1/2 tsp fennel seeds
1/2 tsp red chilli powder
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp garam masala
1/2 tsp salt (or to taste)
1/4 cup chopped coriander leaves
1/4 cup chopped onion
1/4 cup chopped spinach leaves
1/4 cup chopped potato
1/4 cup chopped cauliflower
Water (as needed)
Oil (for frying)
Instructions:
In a mixing bowl, combine the gram flour, rice flour, cumin seeds, coriander seeds, fennel seeds, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, and salt. Mix well.
Add the chopped coriander leaves, onion, spinach leaves, potato, and cauliflower to the bowl. Mix everything together.
Gradually add water to the mixture until you have a thick batter.
Heat oil in a deep frying pan or kadhai on medium-high heat.
Using a spoon or your hands, drop small portions of the batter into the hot oil. Fry the pakoras until they turn golden brown.
Remove the pakoras with a slotted spoon and place them on paper towels to remove excess oil.
Serve the pakoras hot with chutney or ketchup.
