Coca-Cola India has chosen Ajay Vijay Bathija as the vice president of franchise operations for the Southwest Asia region. In his new position, Bathija will be responsible for managing franchise operations in Nepal, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Maldives, and Sri Lanka. He will be working from India while overseeing these markets.

"Bathija began his career with The Coca-Cola Company and has worked there for more than 20 years in marketing and franchise roles.

Sanket Ray, who is the President of India and Southwest Asia, said in a statement that Ajay has a great understanding of business and always looks for ways to make it grow. He has a proven track record of making businesses more successful. The company believes that with Ajay's smart business skills and teamwork approach, he will help the organization achieve its goals in the Southwest Asia region."

Bathija began his career with Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages Pvt. Ltd. (HCCBPL) as part of the sales team. Later, he became the region manager for the Mekong Delta Region at SabCo Vietnam in 2005. After that, he returned to India and became the marketing director for colas. During his time in that role, he played a key role in introducing Coca-Cola Zero sugar for the first time in Bangladesh under the India and Southwest Asia region from 2018 to 2020. Ajay also worked closely with bottling partners to make Coca-Cola TM available globally within The Coca-Cola Company (TCCC).

Coca-Cola is a company that sells various brands of drinks like Coca-Cola, Thums Up, Charged by Thums Up, Fanta, Limca, Sprite, Maaza, and Minute Maid juices. They work with many local franchise bottling partners all around the world, which means they have around 200 bottling partners. These partners help Coca-Cola produce and distribute their beverages.
