Allana Group's announced Rs 200 Crore Investment in Pet Food Facility in Telangana, India

The Allana Group, a prominent exporter of processed food products and agro commodities, has unveiled plans for a significant investment of Rs 200 crore to establish a state-of-the-art pet food facility near Zaheerabad in the state of Telangana, India. The facility, boasting a production capacity of 10 MT/hour, is set to become operational within the next few weeks, according to an official statement from the company.

As part of its strategic expansion initiative, Allana Pet Solutions, a subsidiary of the Allana Group, is gearing up to introduce a new line of premium dried dog food products enriched with protein to cater to the domestic market. These products will bear the brand name 'Bowlers'. Additionally, in a move to diversify its product portfolio, the company is venturing into the cat food segment. This expansion drive is aimed at satisfying the growing demand for pet food items, both domestically in India and on a global scale.

Raghavendra Rao, the Chief Executive Officer of Allana Pet Food Solutions, expressed confidence in India's emerging prominence in the pet nutrition sector, highlighting the substantial investment in the pet food facility as a testament to this belief. The establishment of this facility is also anticipated to create numerous employment opportunities and contribute to the growth of related industries in the region.

Apart from its foray into the pet food domain, the Allana Group is involved in various other sectors, including frozen meat, processed fruit and vegetable products, coffee, spices, and cereals. In the domestic market, the group engages in the manufacturing and distribution of edible oils, margarines, specialty fats, bread improvers, bakery ingredients, London Dairy Ice-cream, and Allegro olive oil, as outlined in an official release.
