According to a Fox News article, a lady in the United States was horrified to discover a box cutter instead of a toy in her daughter’s McDonald’s Happy Meal. She posted pictures of the lunch, which included a pen and a bright yellow cutter, on Facebook.

She claimed that she is unable to fathom what may have occurred if her two-year-old had discovered it. “A million “what ifs”—what if Ava, who is two years old, found it? What if the following child, not Eliana or Ava, was going to eat in the car and play with that?
Ms. Paret wanted clarification from the fast food franchise regarding how such carelessness could occur. I need an explanation from McDonald’s as to WHY and HOW a box cutter got into our daughter’s happy meal. The explanation I seek is more complex than just claiming that a happy meal box serves as your “catch-all” and that one must have been unintentionally taken, she said.
However, there have been other instances of this kind of situation in the United States. An alert was recently raised about a comparable situation by another Michigan woman. After discovering a plastic yellow box cutter in her daughter’s Happy Meal on May 22, Kayla Ann cautioned other parents to exercise caution. She said in the post that the event had happened at a Brighton McDonald’s.
“I just want to make other parents aware to check their happy meal boxes because my daughter handed me a box cutter that was in her happy meal box thinking it was a toy!!!!” the post stated.
A McDonald’s representative told Fox News that the company takes its customers’ safety very seriously. The spokesman continued, “We are doing further investigation and have been in contact with the affected clients.
