A wedding celebration in Bihar's Bhojpur district took an unexpected turn when over 50 guests, including the bride, fell ill with food poisoning on Monday evening.

The wedding ceremony, originally scheduled for Monday, has been postponed and will now take place later on Tuesday.

According to local sources, the guests became sick after consuming food served at the wedding function. Dr. A Ansari, from Shahpur Referral Hospital, confirmed that over 40 individuals received treatment at his facility, while another 12 were transferred to Ara Sadar Hospital. All patients were diagnosed with food poisoning.
