MilkLane Joins Hands with Milky Mist to Supply 1 Lakh Litres of Premium Milk Daily

MilkLane, the dairy and cattle feed division of Innoterra, has entered into a major partnership with Milky Mist Dairy to supply high-quality milk for its growing range of dairy products. Under this agreement, MilkLane will provide 1 lakh litres of premium milk per day to Milky Mist for three years. The deal is valued at over ₹400 crore and is expected to support more than 10,000 farmers by ensuring fair prices and better cattle feed solutions.

Milky Mist, a well-known brand in value-added dairy products, currently processes about 1.5 million litres of milk daily at its state-of-the-art 75-acre facility in Perundurai, Tamil Nadu. This partnership with MilkLane will help the company strengthen its milk sourcing process, ensuring better quality and traceability.

To maintain high milk purity, MilkLane will implement strict quality control measures, including its bulk milk cooler (BMC) model, stainless steel (SS) can distribution system, and rigorous testing for antibiotics and adulterants at collection centers. The company will also use real-time supply chain tracking to ensure complete transparency and consistency in milk procurement.

Harish Sharma, Managing Director of MilkLane, emphasized that the collaboration will provide Milky Mist with 100% traceable and premium-quality milk. He pointed out common issues in the dairy industry such as fluctuating fat and SNF (solids-not-fat) levels, antibiotic residues, and aflatoxin contamination, all of which affect product safety. “MilkLane tackles these challenges with advanced technology, a strong farmer network, over 150 strategically placed BMCs, and a four-tier quality assurance process with more than 40 tests conducted at central labs,” he added.

K Rathnam, CEO of Milky Mist Dairy, highlighted the importance of the partnership in maintaining a stable supply of high-quality milk that meets strict safety standards. He also praised MilkLane’s farmer-friendly approach, which includes fair pricing and scientifically formulated cattle feed to support dairy farmers. “As we expand our product portfolio and market reach, this partnership will be instrumental in strengthening our leadership in the dairy industry,” he said.

India is the largest producer and consumer of dairy products, making supply chain transparency and product quality crucial for the industry. The collaboration between MilkLane and Milky Mist sets new standards for quality, farmer empowerment, and access to safe, premium dairy products for Indian consumers
