Sanjeev Kapoor’s Wonderchef Plans IPO at INR 1,800 Crore Valuation

Mumbai-based kitchenware brand Wonderchef, co-founded by celebrity chef Sanjeev Kapoor and entrepreneur Ravi Saxena, is planning to go public this year with a valuation target of around INR 1,800 crore (approximately $200 million).

According to sources, the IPO will mainly be an offer for sale, giving existing investors an opportunity to exit. While the size of the IPO is yet to be confirmed, the company is expected to file its draft red herring prospectus (DRHP) with SEBI by mid-June, and may launch the IPO by the end of November or December 2025.

This move marks a major step forward for Wonderchef, whose last-known valuation stood at about $100 million. The brand has shown significant growth recently—closing FY25 with revenue of INR 800 crore, more than double from INR 378 crore in FY24.

In a major turnaround, Wonderchef also turned profitable in FY24, posting a net profit of INR 1.5 crore, compared to a loss of INR 51.83 crore in FY23.

Founded in 2009, Wonderchef offers a wide range of kitchen appliances and cookware, including coffee machines, mixer grinders, and cast iron pans. It sells through its own website, online marketplaces like Amazon, and exclusive brand outlets (EBOs).

To date, the company has raised over $30 million in funding from investors such as Sixth Sense Ventures, Amicus Capital, Godrej Family Office, and the Malpani Group.

Wonderchef competes with brands like Lifelong, Atomberg, and Beyond Appliances. Recently, one of its rivals, Nuuk, raised INR 40 crore in funding, showing growing interest in India’s kitchen and home appliance market.
