Zomato is set to undergo a major rebranding, with its board approving a name change to ‘Eternal’, founder and CEO Deepinder Goyal announced in a letter to shareholders. The transition, which awaits shareholder approval, will see the company shift its corporate website from zomato.com to eternal.com, and its stock ticker will also change from ZOMATO to ETERNAL.
A New Corporate Identity
Goyal emphasized that Eternal will serve as the umbrella brand for four key businesses within the company:
- Zomato – The core food delivery platform
- Blinkit – The quick commerce business
- Hyperpure – The B2B food supply division
- District – A relatively new business vertical
"Our board has approved this change today, and I request our shareholders to support it as well. If and when approved, we will transition to the new identity, reflecting our broader vision beyond food delivery," Goyal stated.
What’s Next?
The proposed rebranding aims to streamline and unify Zomato’s expanding business ecosystem, covering food delivery, groceries, restaurant supplies, and more. With Eternal as the new parent brand, the company seeks to position itself for future diversification and growth in multiple sectors.
The final decision now rests with Zomato’s shareholders, whose approval will determine the timeline for the official transition.
