Two Indian Pizzerias Make It To The World’s 100 Best Pizzerias List 2025

A new list of the World’s 100 Best Pizzerias for 2025 has just been released — and it features two proud entries from India. Da Susy, based in Gurugram, and Leo’s, located in Delhi, have earned spots on this prestigious list.

The rankings were announced by The Best Pizza Awards, a Europe-based organisation known for celebrating excellence in the world of pizza. The awards ceremony took place on June 25, 2025, in Milan, Italy. This year, the global voting panel included 512 pizza experts from 60 different countries, making it a diverse and carefully curated selection.

Spotlight on Da Susy, Gurugram

Da Susy Pizzeria, managed by Chef Susanna Di Cosimo, earned its reputation first with a top‑100 Asia–Pacific placement (13th in 2024) and now returns to the global 2025 list. It’s celebrated for its Neapolitan-style pizzas crafted using Molino Caputo flour imported from Italy, slow‑fermented dough, and a mix of gas and wood-fired ovens.

The menu offers both classic Neapolitan pizzas—made with San Marzano and inventive choices like smoked salmon, spinach, burrata, quattro formaggi, and veggie-rich Ortolana pizzas.

With its mix of authentic technique, strong community support, and global honours, Da Susy stands as the only Indian entry in the top‑100 this year.

About Leo’s, Delhi

Leo’s Pizzeria, led by Chef Amol Kumar, achieved the 99th spot on this year’s list. Founded in 2016, Leo’s has quickly become a favourite among Delhi’s pizza lovers for its authentic, artisanal style. The secret to their popularity lies in the care taken with every pizza: from dough fermentation and kneading to baking in a traditional wood-fired oven. Leo’s success story has led to the opening of additional branches in the city.

Who Topped The Best Pizza Awards 2025?

The number one spot was claimed by I Masanielli di Francesco Martucci from Caserta, Italy. Close behind were Pepe in Grani by Franco Pepe in Caiazzo, and Pizzarium by Gabriele Bonci in Rome. As expected, most of the top 10 spots were dominated by renowned Italian pizzerias, with only two winners from Japan and one from Spain breaking into the list.

What Are The Best Pizza Awards?

The Best Pizza Awards were launched in 2022 as part of the broader Best Chef Awards platform. Their mission is to highlight “authentic craftsmanship, bold innovation, and diverse voices” in the pizza world. According to the organisers, the awards are independent and free from commercial influence, aiming to fairly recognise the best in the industry worldwide.

These achievements show how the Indian pizza scene is rising on the global stage, thanks to passionate chefs and high-quality ingredients.
