Starbucks Opens First Experiential Coffee Store in Hyderabad with Indian-Inspired Brews

Starbucks has opened the doors to its first-ever experiential store in South India, right in the heart of Hyderabad's buzzing Khajaguda neighbourhood. This isn’t just another café — it’s a space curated for immersive coffee experiences, creative brews, and meaningful conversations.

A Space for Coffee Enthusiasts

Spread across a cozy layout that seats around 50 people, the store is divided into two seating zones and features a dedicated Espresso Zone and Brew Bar. Guests can interact with in-house baristas, observe brewing techniques up close, and even learn the art behind every cup — from grind to pour.

Innovative Menu with a Desi Twist

What truly sets this store apart is its exclusive India-inspired beverage menu, crafted with bold local ingredients. Highlights include:

  • Cinnamon Jaggery Latte

  • Malabar Coconut Cream Latte

  • Red Peru and Kanthari Chilli Cold Brew

  • Tamarind Shikanji Cold Brew

These drinks are a celebration of Indian flavors — think chaat-inspired tang, tropical creaminess, and sweet spice — all in your favorite caffeine form.

Global Beans, Local Brews

The store offers a unique opportunity to explore 13 whole-bean variants and five exclusive espresso options, with beans sourced from India, Kenya, Sumatra, and Latin America. A standout is the India States Blend, Starbucks’ homage to homegrown coffee.

According to Vibhor Mishra, Coffee Ambassador for Starbucks APAC & China:

“In the world of coffee, geography is flavour. That’s why we bring beans from across the globe — including those grown, sourced, and roasted in India.”

Tech Meets Tradition

The store also features the Black Eagle — Starbucks' semi-automated espresso machine that brews your coffee in full view. From grinding to tamping, every detail is visible to the customer, adding transparency and flair to your caffeine ritual.

Taste Test: Our Top Picks

  • Red Peru & Kanthari Chilli Cold Brew
Subtle heat meets light guava aroma. Not overly sweet or strong — best with less ice if you like your coffee bold.

  • Tamarind Shikanji Cold Brew
Tangy, punchy, and full of Indian street-style vibes — a must-try for adventurous palates.

  • Malabar Coconut Cream Latte
Smooth, creamy, and perfectly balanced. Imagine the malai from a rich South Indian curry, fused with espresso. A true winner.

Final Sip

Whether you're a casual coffee lover or a brewing aficionado, this new Starbucks experiential store in Hyderabad offers more than just a caffeine fix — it’s a journey of flavour, culture, and creativity.
