Shilpa Shetty’s Bastian Bandra Restaurant in Mumbai to Shut Down
Shilpa Shetty’s popular Mumbai restaurant, Bastian Bandra, is shutting down. Opened in 2016, the iconic dining spot will host its final evening this Thursday, while its Dadar outlet, Bastian At The Top, will continue operations.
Mumbai’s vibrant dining scene is set to bid farewell to one of its most celebrated restaurants. Bastian Bandra, co-owned by Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty and restaurateur Ranjit Bindra, will shut down this Thursday, marking the end of an era for the city’s food lovers.
Located on Linking Road in Bandra West, Bastian Bandra first opened in 2016 before relocating and reopening in 2023. Spread across multiple levels, the restaurant quickly became known for its artistic interiors, sophisticated ambience, and menu featuring a rich variety of seafood, along with vegetarian and meat-based dishes.
Over the years, the restaurant gained a reputation as one of Mumbai’s most popular dining destinations, frequented by celebrities and food enthusiasts alike.
Shilpa Shetty’s Announcement
The closure was confirmed through an announcement shared by Shilpa Shetty on her Instagram stories. The message read:
“This Thursday marks the end of an era as we bid farewell to one of Mumbai's most iconic destinations – BASTIAN BANDRA. A venue that gave us countless memories, unforgettable nights, and moments that shaped the city's nightlife now takes its final bow. To honour this legendary space, we're curating a very special evening for our closest patrons – a night filled with nostalgia, energy, and magic, celebrating everything Bastian has stood for one last time.
Bastian at Dadar to Continue
While the Bandra outlet is shutting down, Bastian will continue its operations at its second location in Dadar West. Known as Bastian At The Top, the restaurant is perched on the rooftop level (48th floor) of Kohinoor Square and offers panoramic views of the city alongside its signature menu.
The closure of Bastian Bandra may mark the end of a chapter, but the legacy of the brand will live on through its Dadar outlet and Bastian Hospitality group.
