Mumbai, July 13: On the CSMT-Madgaon Vande Bharat Express, an astonishing event occurred when a passenger on Train 18 discovered a human nail in his meal. The passenger shared a video of the event on social media, which is how the incident was made public. The catering contractor for the CSMT-Madgaon Vande Bharat train was fined Rs 25,000 by the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) after the event came to light.

The Vande Bharat train passenger from Mumbai to Goa posted about his trauma on social media. The traveler posted a video on social media purporting to show a human nail discovered within a food packet given on Train 18. Numerous passengers have already complained on social media about the Mumbai-Goa Van Bharat Express train’s subpar services and food quality.

According to IRCTC insiders, a few processes have been put in place to prevent such instances in the future since the incident came to light. After the incident, sources made known that a senior official will board the Vande Bharat Express Train to observe operations aboard Train 19. The IRCTC has strengthened oversight of the Ratnagiri base kitchen in Maharashtra, where express train meals is stocked, as a precaution.

Himanshu Mukherjee, a passenger on the CSMT-Madgaon Vande Bharat Express a few days after its debut, is quoted in the newspaper as saying that many passengers considered the dal and paneer dish to be “unpalatable.” Machindra Pawar, a fellow traveler of Mukherjee’s, was the one who discovered the human nail in the food container. He remarked, “I hope services improve as a result of the IRCTC action.”

He released the video again while alleging that nothing was done after his initial video was removed at IRCTC’s request.
