New Delhi: Oil marketing companies have raised the prices of commercial LPG gas cylinders by ₹62, effective today. The new cost of a 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder in Delhi is ₹1,802. This price increase impacts commercial sectors heavily reliant on LPG, such as restaurants and hotels, potentially raising operational costs and, in turn, affecting consumer prices.
Here's the updated city-wise price list for commercial LPG cylinders:
- Delhi: ₹1,802
- Mumbai: ₹1,754.50
- Kolkata: ₹1,911.50
- Chennai: ₹1,964.50
Alongside this, the price for a 5 kg Free Trade LPG cylinder has increased by ₹15, although the 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinder remains unaffected.
This price adjustment follows earlier hikes, including an October 2024 increase of ₹48.50, which set the price of a 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder in Delhi to ₹1,740. In September, the price rose by ₹39 to reach ₹1,691.50. As market fluctuations continue, oil marketing companies are revising rates frequently to keep up with global costs, impacting sectors across the board.
The latest price rise highlights the growing financial pressures on commercial establishments, which may lead to higher service prices for consumers across various industries.
