KisanKonnect Secures ₹72 Cr Pre-Series A Funding Led By Bajaj Finserv
Farm-to-fork startup KisanKonnect raises ₹72 Cr led by Bajaj Finserv to strengthen tech, supply chain, and farmer network across Mumbai and Pune.
Mumbai-based omnichannel agri-tech startup KisanKonnect has raised ₹72 crore ($8 million) in its Pre-Series A round, led by Bajaj Finserv Group. The round also saw participation from Mistry Ventures, Desai Foods, Dhanuka Agritech, and Action Tessa family office.
The company plans to use the fresh capital to upgrade its technology stack, strengthen its supply chain, expand online and offline presence, and deepen engagement with farmers.
Farm-To-Fork Model with Fast Delivery
Founded in 2020 by Vivek and Nidhi Nirmal, KisanKonnect connects urban consumers directly with farmers through its farm-to-fork model. The platform claims to deliver fresh fruits and vegetables within 60 minutes across Mumbai and Pune via its app, website, and offline stores.
The startup sources produce from a network of over 5,000 farmers through its collection centres in villages. By leveraging AI, IoT, and RFID tools, it ensures traceability, quality control, and demand forecasting for more than 650 SKUs.
Growing Interest in Fresh Commerce
This marks KisanKonnect’s second fundraise in 2025. Earlier in January, it secured $4.5 million in Series A funding led by Mistry Ventures. In 2024, the company raised $3.7 million from Green Frontier Capital and others.
The funding comes amid a boom in India’s fresh fruits and vegetables market, valued at over ₹7.5 lakh crore, but often hampered by wastage and fragmented supply chains.
Competitors such as Handpickd, Fresh From Farm, MyMandi, and Pluckk are also attracting investor attention, while quick commerce players like Blinkit, Swiggy Instamart, and Zepto intensify competition by offering ultra-fast delivery.
With fresh capital and strong backers, KisanKonnect is expected to strengthen its position in the competitive fresh commerce space, while contributing to reducing food wastage and supporting farmers with better price realization.
