Nepal’s famous Khukri Rum has made its official entry into the Indian market. MCKT Beverages Pvt. Ltd., the company bringing the rum to India, has launched it in Uttar Pradesh, Goa, and Maharashtra. The brand plans to expand to 10 cities across India by the end of the financial year 2026.
Khukri is aiming to sell 20,000 cases in India by FY26 as part of its goal to become a strong player in the growing premium spirits market. Known as the "rum from the top of the world," Khukri has a history of over 65 years and is produced by Nepal’s first distillery. The rum is made from Nepalese sugarcane and pure Himalayan water, and it is aged in special Shorea Robusta wood barrels. This gives the rum a rich and complex flavor, making it stand out in the premium segment.
