Bihar man discovered in Noida eating momos after being reported dead by family

Months after his abduction from his in-laws’ home in Sultanganj, Bihar, the unusual episode took place.

According to media sources, a guy from Bihar’s Bhagalpur who had been missing for months and was assumed dead by his family was discovered in Noida eating momos.

Nishant Kumar, a native of Naugachia in the Bhagalpur district, vanished on January 31, 2023, while he was visiting his in-laws’ home for a wedding, according to Amar Ujala. This led to the peculiar episode that followed. Ravi Shankar Singh, his brother-in-law, reported a missing person to the Sultanganj police station, but Nishant’s father suspected his son’s in-laws of kidnapping and murder.

Ravi Shankar said that the Nishant family members tortured his family by falsely accusing them of being his killer among allegations and denials. According to him, his older uncle passed unexpectedly suddenly as a result of the strong accusations made by Nishant’s family.

Where did Nishant end up?

In Noida Sector 50, the proprietor of a momos stand allegedly chased a beggar wearing shabby clothing away, according to Ravi Shankar Singh. Singh said that the beggar kept requesting food and claiming to be hungry. He added that he felt bad for the man and urged the store to give him momos.

When Ravi Shankar asked the beggar his name, he was shocked to hear him identify himself as Nishant Kumar, the son of Sachidananda Singh and a native of Dhruvganj, Naugachia.

Nishant was transported to Sector 13 police station, according to Ravi Shankar, who claimed to have instantly dialed 100 to summon the police. The Sultanganj police station, where he was reported missing months ago, was also notified by Delhi Police.

How he got to Delhi is still unclear, and he will be cross-examined in court.

Ravi Shankar was cited as stating, “Now there is a hope that we will get justice from the court and whoever is guilty in this case, the court will take legal action.”
