Barbeque-Nation Hospitality Ltd, a quick service restaurant operator, recorded a net loss of Rs 11.60 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2023. Barbeque-Nation Hospitality reported a net profit of Rs 0.48 crore for the January-March period a year ago in a regulatory filing.

Its revenue from operations increased 11.64 percent to Rs 280.23 crore in the current quarter, compared to Rs 251 crore in the previous fiscal period.

The company's total expenditures were Rs 240.36 crore, up 16.41% in Q4/FY23. In the March quarter, its total revenue was Rs 282.47 crore.

Barbeque-Nation, on the other hand, reported a net profit of Rs 19.14 crore for the fiscal year ended March 2023. In FY22, it reported a net loss of Rs 25.19 crore. In FY23, its revenue from operations increased by 43.36 percent to Rs 1,233.75 crore.

“During the year, the Company added 39 new restaurants, bringing the total number to 216.” According to the company’s earnings statement, “the total restaurants included 14 Toscano restaurants, 6 Barbeque Nation international restaurants, and the remaining 196 were Barbeque Nation India network.”

Meanwhile, its board of directors approved the acquisition of an additional 4.21 percent of the paid-up share capital of Red Apple Kitchen Consultancy Private Limited, the Company’s subsidiary, from the current Shareholders. Following this, the stake in Red Apple Kitchen’, which operates 14 Italian cuisine restaurants under the brand Toscano, will climb to 82.43 percent.
