Zepto Renames Parent Company from Kiranakart to Zepto Private Limited Ahead of IPO for Stronger Brand Recall

Mumbai: In a strategic move aimed at enhancing brand recognition ahead of its anticipated Initial Public Offering (IPO), quick-commerce platform Zepto has officially changed the name of its parent company from Kiranakart Technologies Private Limited to Zepto Private Limited. The name change has received formal approval from the Registrar of Companies (RoC) in Mumbai.

This move aligns with similar actions taken by rivals in the sector. For instance, Swiggy, a major player in the food and grocery delivery space, had changed its legal name from Bundl Technologies Private Limited to Swiggy Private Limited before its IPO in February 2024.

Such rebranding efforts typically aim to strengthen brand recall among investors, consumers, and other stakeholders, especially as companies gear up for listing on public markets. Aligning the legal entity's name with the brand identity helps reinforce the company’s core offerings and increases its visibility and relatability.
