Kolkata, India, In a display of culinary prowess and devotion, a century-old sweet shop in Kolkata created a massive 500-kilogram laddoo to celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi. The colossal sweet, adorned with dry fruits and a miniature statue of Lord Ganesha, was a centerpiece of the festival. 

The shop, located in the Bhawanipore area of the city, has been a family-run business for over 140 years. Owner Priyanka Malik expressed her excitement about the creation, stating, "Ganesh Chaturthi marks the beginning of our festive season. We strive to do something unique every year. This 500-kg laddoo is our tribute to the festival."

The giant laddoo, a testament to the shop's craftsmanship and dedication, was undoubtedly a highlight of the Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations in Kolkata.
