The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has ordered Patanjali Foods Limited to recall a specific batch of its red chilli powder. The directive, issued on January 13, 2025, and received by the company on January 16, cites non-compliance with The Food Safety and Standards (Contaminants, Toxins and Residues) Regulations, 2011.

The affected batch is labeled as “Red Chilli Powder (Packed)” with Batch No. AJD2400012. Patanjali disclosed the matter in an exchange filing on Thursday, stating that it is initiating a recall as per FSSAI's instructions.

The FSSAI regularly monitors food products to ensure adherence to safety standards, and this action highlights its ongoing commitment to consumer health.
