Chheda’s and Ching’s Secret Launch ₹75 OG Snack Pack Combining Chakli With Schezwan Chutney

Chheda’s and Ching’s Secret have launched the ₹75 OG Snack Pack, combining traditional chakli with Schezwan chutney, with distribution planned across quick-commerce platforms and retail outlets.

Mumbai-based snack manufacturer Chheda Specialities Foods has partnered with Ching’s Secret to introduce the OG Snack Pack, a packaged snack combination featuring traditional chakli and Schezwan chutney. Priced at ₹75, the product brings together an established Indian savoury snack and a popular Desi-Chinese condiment in a single offering.

The collaboration was announced on October 8, 2026, according to published launch coverage. The product is intended to be distributed through quick-commerce platforms, including Blinkit, Swiggy Instamart and Zepto, alongside modern trade and general trade outlets across India.

The announcement highlights how food brands are exploring new product formats by combining familiar flavours and existing products to create additional consumption occasions. However, the companies have not publicly disclosed sales targets or financial projections for the collaboration.

Chheda’s Chakli Meets Ching’s Secret Schezwan Chutney

The OG Snack Pack combines chakli, a crunchy savoury snack widely associated with western India, with Ching’s Secret Schezwan chutney, known for its spicy, garlic-forward flavour profile.

Rather than introducing an entirely new snack category, the partnership packages two complementary products together. The format offers consumers a convenient way to enjoy chakli with a spicy dip without having to purchase the components separately.

According to the launch announcement, Dharmik Chheda, Director of Strategy & Operations at Chheda Specialities Foods, said the idea grew out of the familiar practice of pairing chakli with Schezwan chutney.

The announced retail price is ₹75 per pack. The precise pack weight, quantity of chakli and chutney, nutritional specifications and confirmed first-sale date were not established in the launch reports reviewed.

Why Chheda’s and Ching’s Secret Are Collaborating

The partnership brings together two brands with complementary product portfolios and market positioning.

Chheda Specialities Foods has an established presence in India's savoury-snacks market, particularly in western India. Ching’s Secret, part of Tata Consumer Products through Capital Foods, operates in the Desi-Chinese packaged-food category, with products spanning sauces, chutneys, noodles, soups and seasonings.

By combining chakli with Schezwan chutney, the companies are creating an opportunity to introduce consumers of one brand to the other. The approach also allows them to explore a new packaged-snacking format using existing products rather than relying exclusively on the development of a completely new product.

For the broader fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) industry, such collaborations offer a potential route to product innovation. Brands can experiment with flavour combinations, packaging formats and new consumption occasions while leveraging their existing product recognition.

Whether the OG Snack Pack generates incremental sales, attracts new customers or encourages repeat purchases remains to be seen. Neither company has publicly disclosed the commercial terms of the partnership or its expected contribution to revenue.

Quick Commerce and Retail Form Part of the Distribution Strategy

The reported distribution plan includes Blinkit, Swiggy Instamart and Zepto, along with modern trade and traditional retail outlets.

Quick-commerce platforms have become an important purchasing channel for packaged foods, particularly products suited to convenient, immediate consumption. A snack-and-dip combination could appeal to consumers looking for an easy-to-order option for breaks, gatherings or informal snacking occasions.

The planned presence across online and offline channels could also help the brands test demand among different consumer groups.

However, the announcement does not establish whether the product is currently available nationwide, which cities will receive the initial rollout or how much distribution will be allocated to quick commerce compared with traditional retail.

The product's commercial performance will ultimately depend on factors including pricing, product quality, visibility on shopping platforms, distribution reach and repeat demand.

What the Launch Means for India's Packaged-Food Market

The Chheda’s–Ching’s Secret collaboration reflects a wider product-development opportunity in India's packaged-food market: combining familiar products to offer consumers a new way to experience existing flavours.

For snack manufacturers, such partnerships can potentially expand the range of occasions in which a product is consumed. For condiment brands, collaborations can introduce sauces and chutneys to consumers who might not otherwise purchase them independently.

The ₹75 OG Snack Pack provides a concrete example of this strategy. Its longer-term significance, however, will depend on consumer acceptance and whether the product can generate sustained demand beyond the initial launch.

The collaboration also raises questions about how regional snack manufacturers can use national brand partnerships and digital distribution channels to reach consumers beyond their traditional markets.

The companies have not disclosed whether additional joint products are planned, how marketing expenditure will be shared or whether the collaboration is intended to continue beyond this launch.

For now, the OG Snack Pack represents a product-level partnership between an established Indian snack manufacturer and a packaged-food brand known for Desi-Chinese flavours. Its performance could provide a useful indicator of consumer appetite for combination snack formats in an increasingly competitive FMCG market.
