The World’s 50 Best Restaurants 2025 list is out! Chef Gaggan Anand's restaurant in Bangkok ranks 6th, while Tresind Studio in Dubai secures the 27th spot, showcasing Indian culinary brilliance on a global stage.
The culinary world came together in Turin, Italy, to celebrate the unveiling of the World’s 50 Best Restaurants 2025 list. Curated by over 1,120 industry experts from 22 countries, this year's edition marks the 23rd year of spotlighting global excellence in gastronomy. Among the honorees are two India-inspired restaurants that have once again proven the global appeal of Indian flavors.
Gaggan (Bangkok) – 6th Best in the World, Best in Asia
Chef Gaggan Anand’s eponymous restaurant in Bangkok has ranked 6th globally and claimed the title of Asia’s Best Restaurant 2025. Known for its progressive Indian cuisine blended with Thai, Japanese, and French techniques, Gaggan redefines the fine-dining experience with playful creativity — including courses represented by emojis and dishes meant to be licked or eaten by hand.
Tresind Studio (Dubai) – 27th Best, Best in the Middle East
Chef Himanshu Saini’s Tresind Studio, located at The Palm Jumeirah in Dubai, has been ranked 27th in the world and named the Best Restaurant in the Middle East 2025. Guests experience a theatrical and immersive tasting menu, often being moved between rooms that match the themes of each course. With its bold storytelling and modern approach to Indian flavors, Tresind Studio continues to break boundaries.
Maido in Peru Crowned World’s Best Restaurant 2025
The top honor this year went to Maido in Lima, Peru, led by Chef Mitsuharu ‘Micha’ Tsumura. Maido is celebrated for its Nikkei cuisine, a fusion of Japanese and Peruvian culinary traditions.
