Handshake Speakeasy, a Prohibition-inspired bar in Mexico City, claimed the top spot as the best bar in the world. This prestigious list is compiled by William Reed Business Media, a UK-based company that also ranks the best restaurants and hotels globally. The list is based on votes from 680 industry experts, including renowned bartenders, drinks writers, and cocktail specialists from around the world.
Top Bars in the World Taking the number one position, Handshake Speakeasy has been praised for its outstanding hospitality and unique cocktails that play with flavors and textures. Bar Leone in Hong Kong, known for its "cocktail popolari" or "cocktails for the people," ranked second. It had also been named the best bar in Asia for 2024. Sips, a bar in Barcelona that rose to fame since opening in 2021, placed third, earning the title of best bar in Europe.
Asian Bars Make a Strong Showing A total of 12 bars from Asia made it onto the global list, reflecting the continent's growing influence in the bar industry. Singapore stands out with four bars on the list, alongside other major cities like London and New York. Bar Leone in Hong Kong leads the Asian entries, followed by:

No Indian Bars on the Global List Unfortunately, no Indian bar made it to the top 50 this year. Bengaluru’s ZLB23 was ranked 40th in the Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2024 list, announced earlier in July. In 2023, Sidecar in New Delhi was ranked 67th globally as part of the extended list.
