Indian street food is highly diverse. You may discover a variety of delicious street-style treats to taste in whatever city or state you visit. The simple sandwich has recently been a new addition to India’s street food scene. Sandwiches are often thought of as a teatime treat or just a breakfast item, but they have slowly gained popularity as a street food as well. The traditional sandwich has been transformed with additional layers and a wide variety of fresh ingredients. And the evidence for this can be found in a recent viral video of a massive “Baahubali” sandwich. Have a look

Popular blogger Spoons of Mumbai posted the video. Since it was posted, it has received more than 8 million plus views. The ‘Baahubali’ sandwich was purchased from Bipin’s Big Sandwich, Chamunda Circle, in Borivali West, Mumbai. The full process of constructing the multi-layered Baahubali sandwich was shown in the viral video. Bread pieces were first spread with chutney and butter. The fillings consisted of onion, capsicum, and French fries all in one layer. The pineapple, jalapeno, and olives made up the entire second layer. Tomatoes, pizza sauce, and cabbage were used to finish the last layer. A generous amount of mayonnaise, cheese gratings, and beetroot were added to the Baahubali sandwich to complete it.

The enormous sandwich split internet users. It was sometimes known as the “Kuch Nahi Chhoda” sandwich. One user joked, “I was ready for him to bring in the cameraman and spread him on the sandwich too. One person said, “It took so long to make this sandwich that the maker’s shift also changed,” while another said, “Itna time lagra is sandwich ko banane mein ke shift bhi badal gai banane wale ki.” Another person responded, “The ‘mummy ke kitchen mein jo hai sab daal do’ sandwich.”
