Tragic Mumbai Incident: Teenager Murdered by Friends in Dispute over Rs 10,000 Food Bill During Birthday Celebration
A shocking incident in Mumbai unfolds as an 18-year-old boy is brutally murdered by his friends over a dispute regarding the division of a Rs 10,000 food bill during his birthday celebration.
In a tragic incident that took place in Mumbai's suburb Govandi, an 18-year-old boy lost his life following a dispute during birthday celebrations. According to reports, the altercation began over splitting a food invoice amounting to Rs 10,000. The victim was accompanied by four friends, two of whom were minors.
On May 31, the victim organized a birthday party at a roadside eatery called 'dhaba.' As the celebrations unfolded, tensions arose among the group regarding the sharing of the bill. However, the victim decided to settle the matter by personally paying the entire amount.
Later on, the four accused individuals planned another birthday party and invited the victim to join them. During the gathering, after offering him cake, they suddenly attacked him multiple times with sharp weapons, resulting in his untimely demise. The shocking incident was discovered after it came to light.
Subsequently, the two minors, aged 17, surrendered themselves to the police, while the other two major suspects attempted to flee to their hometown Gonda in Uttar Pradesh. However, the Mumbai crime branch successfully apprehended them in Ahmedabad on June 2. The minors were sent to a correctional facility, while the two adult accused were arrested under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code, including Section 302 for murder.
This heartbreaking incident serves as a reminder of the importance of resolving conflicts peacefully and the tragic consequences that can arise from unresolved disputes. The authorities are actively investigating the case to ensure that justice is served.
