Maha Kumbh 2025: Food Delivery Apps to Deliver 1.5 Crore Mahaprasad Orders Nationwide

Devotees Can Now Order Maha Kumbh Mahaprasad Online from Prayagraj, Ayodhya, and Varanasi

Maha Kumbh, one of the world's largest religious gatherings, is being celebrated in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, from January 13 to February 26, 2025. Millions of devotees are flocking to the sacred Triveni Sangam to take a holy dip and participate in this grand spiritual event. However, for those unable to attend, food delivery apps have stepped in to ensure they don't miss out on the sacred offerings.  

Waayu, in collaboration with the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC), is enabling devotees to order Mahaprasad offerings from Prayagraj, Ayodhya, and soon, Varanasi. An estimated 1.5 crore orders of Mahaprasad, including Shuddh Desi Ghee Besan laddoos, will be delivered nationwide. The offerings are freshly prepared following traditional methods and strict cleanliness standards.  

To align with Maha Kumbh’s sustainability goals, the Mahaprasad will be packaged in eco-friendly, plastic-free materials. Devotees can place their orders via Waayu and ONDC buyer apps, with delivery expected within seven days. Additionally, travelers passing through Prayagraj Railway Station can receive the Mahaprasad directly during transit.  

Waayu has partnered with leading logistics providers like Delhivery, Bluedart, Amazon Shipping, Shiprocket, and India Post, ensuring delivery across 19,000 pin codes in India.  

Meanwhile, on January 14, 2025, millions of devotees took a holy dip at the Triveni Sangam on the occasion of Makar Sankranti, marking the first 'Amrit Snan' of Maha Kumbh 2025.
