Donald Trump allegedly left without picking up the check after offering to pay for the meal, according to an unnamed source.
Former President Donald Trump apparently left other people to pay his tab after promising “food for everyone” at a Cuban restaurant in Miami on Tuesday, June 13, following his federal arraignment. The 77-year-old stopped by Versailles Restaurant in Little Havana for ‘happy birthday’ wishes, prayers, and food for his workers. “Food for everyone,” Donald said to the diners.
According to Miami New Times, an unnamed source afterwards reported that the former president had departed without collecting the cheque. “President Trump was very enthused and very appreciative to the family at Versailles Restaurant for welcoming him this week,” a representative for Donald told the New York Post. At the conclusion of his visit, President Trump offered to purchase dinner for the participants inside the restaurant, but after he walked out, they did not place their own orders.
There were no unpaid tabs since the campaign advance team members paid for the to-go meals that were ordered. “President Trump anticipates making a swift comeback!” added the spokeswoman. According to the New York Times, Donald afterwards ate McDonald’s on his flight rather than at the Cuban eatery.
President Joe Biden reportedly has a four-point advantage against Donald Trump at this stage. 48 percent of respondents in the Quinnipiac University survey said they were more inclined to support Joe than Donald. Trump earned 44% of the vote. Since the last survey in May, his support has decreased by two points, but Joe’s has been steady. According to reports, the poll was tallied from June 8 to June 12.
“Among all registered voters, President Joe Biden leads Donald Trump by a slim margin, 48-44 percent, in a hypothetical general election contest. Biden won 48% of the vote in the May 24 national survey conducted by Quinnipiac University, while Trump received 46%. Since Quinnipiac University began asking this question in February 2023, Biden and Trump have consistently finished closely in head-to-head contests, according to the poll’s website.
Tim Malloy, a Quinnipiac analyst, noted: “A federal indictment. A hearing for a long list of charges. A deluge of negative media attention. The former President’s standing among voters was negatively impacted, right? Not at all much.
