Actress Akanksha Juneja was thrust from the glitz and glamour of the silver screen into a terrifying tale of digital deceit when she became the victim of a heart-stopping scam while obliviously placing an order for meals. Juneja’s world was flipped upside down as the minutes ticked away and a staggering Rs 10,000 vanished from her account with each passing minute, leaving both her and her supporters speechless. Come explore the compelling story of how this Bollywood starlet’s desire for a great supper evolved into a heart-pounding conflict with cyber thieves.
Cybercrime has victimized numerous actors in the past, and phishing fraud instances are at an all-time high. Actress Akanksha Juneja, who presently portrays Nidhi in Kundali Bhagya, has said that she was defrauded of Rs 30k while purchasing meals.
Akanksha related the event and said, “We try to be cautious since we read about examples of cyber fraud every day, but today’s con artists are so clever that they always come up with new ways to deceive you.
Once, when placing a purchase, I got a call from a business number asking me to confirm the order by clicking on the link supplied to my number. I questioned why it was necessary, and he said that the new procedure was to confirm and order the meal.
As soon as I clicked the link, 10,000 was automatically taken out of my account every five minutes.
“I was just wondering what is happening this and why,” the actress continued. Fortunately, I remembered that I had clicked on that link and quickly phoned my bank to request that they block my account. Because “mehnat ki kamayi ke paise jb bewajah chale jate hai to bohot dukh hota hai,” I lost Rs. 30,00 amid all of this, which was quite discouraging for me.
Last but not least, Akanksha cautioned people about internet fraud, saying, “People should be extremely wary about the online frauds that are prevalent these days. The link that the scammer supplied me enabled him to access my phone. Never click on links given by an unknown source since scammers may easily trick you nowadays because they are so sophisticated.
Professionally, Akanksha has worked on the films Saath Nibhaana Saathiya 2, Bade Achhe Lagte Hain, Hamaari Beti Raaj Karegi, and Dil Se Di Dua Saubhagyavati Bhava.
