Indian street food-inspired QSR startup Wah! Puchka Wah! Litti has successfully raised $230,000 (approximately ₹1.9 crore) in a strategic angel investment round. The funding was led by Sagar Daryani, Co-founder & CEO of Wow! Momo, along with Abhishek Rungta, Co-founder of Dot & Key, and several other global angel investors.

Founded by 26-year-old Deepak Kumar, Wah! Puchka Wah! Litti is on a mission to bring India’s most loved street snacks—like puchkas and litti-chokha—into the organized food service sector with a hygienic, scalable, and authentic model. The brand aims to become India’s most trusted name in street food QSR, transforming local delicacies into modern culinary experiences while preserving their traditional taste.

With a presence of 18 outlets across Kolkata, Wah! Puchka Wah! Litti has already served over 2 lakh customers and maintains an impressive 4.6+ rating on Swiggy and Zomato. The startup has also launched its own D2C delivery platform, offering freshly made puchkas and litti-chokha delivered within 30 minutes.

The recently raised funds will be used to:

“Wah! Puchka Wah! Litti is giving India’s desi street food a bold upgrade – authentic, hygienic, and built to scale,” said Sagar Daryani, who invested in his personal capacity.

A Growing Market with Massive Potential

India’s online food services industry is expected to double to $8 billion, yet organized QSR chains account for less than half of the country’s overall eating-out market. Meanwhile, India’s local street food market remains a $20 billion+ unorganized sector—ripe for disruption.

Riding this wave, Wah! Puchka Wah! Litti seeks to replicate the Haldiram's model, blending trust, hygiene, and scalability into India’s street food ecosystem. With a strong foundation, favorable unit economics, and credible investor backing, the startup is now actively exploring strategic partnerships and institutional funding for its next growth round.

With an ambitious roadmap to formalize and elevate India’s roadside culinary culture, Wah! Puchka Wah! Litti is not just building a brand—it’s pioneering a movement in India’s QSR space. As it gears up for rapid growth, the startup stands at the forefront of India’s next big food service revolution.
